Britney Spears tells X Factor hopeful: Who let you on stage?

Britney Spears is certainly showing a new side in the latest promo video for US X Factor!

We're so busy gearing up for the launch of X Factor over here it's easy to forget America has its own version beginning next month. And while we have the lovely Tulisa and Nicole Scherzinger as our female judges, they have Britney Spears (BRITNEY!) and Disney starlet Demi Lovato.



Simon Cowell, who is a judge on US X Factor, has already hinted that Britney has a bit of a mean streak and the latest teaser video for the show seems to back that up!

An exec from US network Fox, Kevin Reilly, has also said: "She is not afraid to lay it on the line. She's tough. She knows what she's doing. She's been around, she's seen it all and she definitely lays it on the line."



In the video Britney tells one performer: "I want to know who let you on the stage!"

Not that she seems to think she has a mean streak! "I feel my judging style is very subtle," she says in the video. "I try to use constructive criticism." We'll be the judges of that!

And Britney isn't the only X Factor lady displaying a feisty streak! Actress and singer Demi Lovato proves in another promo video that she isn't afraid to take on the might of Mr Cowell!

The 19-year-old rose to fame alongside The Jonas Brothers in Camp Rock before going on to front Disney Channel's Sonny with a Chance.

She's also had a successful music career, releasing her third album Unbroken earlier this year, which spawned the hit single 'Skyscraper'.



After Simon tells one hopeful he wouldn't play her song at his funeral because no-one would turn up, Demi quips: "I think there are other reasons nobody would turn up!"

The teenager also jokes that he's "old and impatient" and should take a breath mint if he wants to get close to her face. Ouch!

We can't wait to see this show!
