With that in mind, it wouldn't feel right to enter 2016 without looking back through this year's style archives - so here are some of the most eye-popping ensembles that topped our list.
I'm A Celeb's Vicky Pattison
When I'm A Celeb's Vicky Pattison channelled her inner 60s siren in this retro-striped mini dress from her every own Honeyz collection, our jaws dropped. The skater hem and cutesy Peter Pan collar gave us endless summer style inspiration but her red lip and voluminous beehive made it. Since being crowned the queen of the jungle, Vicky has been going from strength to strength in the style stakes too. GAH, we adore her.
The Only Way Is Essex's Lauren Pope
Lauren Pope has her finger in every (fashionable) pie thanks to a sell-out line with In The Style and being the creator and face of hairstyling maestros, Hair Rehab London. From lemon-coloured two-pieces to floaty floral frocks, there isn't a look she didn't manage to pull off this year. In fact, it was definitely Lauren who made thigh-high boots so chic. Move over Khloe Kardashian!
Keeping Up With The Kardashians' Kim Kardashian
Who else, duh?! Even with a burgeoning bump Kim Kardashian looked utterly breathtaking in this nearly see-through, crystal adorned gown - with a trailing feathered hem no less - when she stepped out at the Met Gala in May. She pipped Jennifer Lopez, Beyonce and Rihanna to the post as best dressed on the evening.
Made in Chelsea's Rosie Fortescue
To say MIC's Rosie Fortescue slayed at London Fashion Week would be a bit of an understatement. With her pom-pom heels, luxe faux fur jackets and stunning collection of brocade skirts, it should have been Rosie walking the catwalk. Gigi Hadid, who?
The Only Way Is Essex's Chloe Lewis
Chloe Lewis is Essex's resident fashionista - there are no two ways about it. The girl can make bobble hats look cool for goodness sake! When Chloe took to Instagram to debut this could-be-designer party look, we were seriously impressed to learn that it was only a purse-pleasing £21.99 from Missy Empire.
Keeping Up With The Kardashians' Kylie Jenner
Kylie Jenner is the name on everyone's lips thanks to her love of chic strappy stilettos, itsy-bitsy cropped tops and of course Balmain. In fact, thousands of shoppers fought to land their hands on this embellished mini dress she donned to the Balmain X H&M launch party - so she's broken the internet twice this year.
The Only Way Is Essex's Danielle Armstrong
TOWIE's Danielle Armstrong is a girl after our own hearts when it comes to party dressing - she loves glamour, flaunting her fab curves and, of course, a bargain! We reckon that half of her wardrobe is from celebrity style hub AX Paris and we're constantly checking the site for matches.
Geordie Shore's Charlotte Crosby
Geordie Shore's Charlotte Crosby has done a total 360 on us in terms of style. Gone are the precariously high suede platform heels and taking their place are glam over-the-knee boots and floaty tunic dresses. She launched her debut Nostalgia range with In The Style and became the new face of Mark Hill Hair, so here's hoping that 2016 is just as fruitful for the starlet.
Love Island's Cally Jane Beech
Love Island star Cally Jane Beech proved exactly why she's our ultimate girl crush when she stepped out at the Daddy's Home premiere in London's Leicester Square in early December. We never thought it was possible for someone to be so fierce and we scramble for the inhaler every time we set eyes on her in this coral dress. Just, oh!
Made in Chelsea's Stephanie Pratt
MIC's Stephanie Pratt is the queen of the skater dress and we fell in love with the metallic 70s inspired numbers she wore to the E! UK and Ireland Host Announcement party in November. Get the look from AX Paris!
