With everything from chic two-pieces to on trend sleeveless jackets, Lauren has taken the hottest catwalk inspirations and turned them into affordable fashion. We caught up with the TOWIE star to find out how she did it.
My favourite piece
"I love the berry suit. When I wear suits I just pin them to show a bit of flesh. But they also look great with a layer underneath. The berry tone works really well with a crisp white shirt that would be a fab workwear look, or you could glam it up with a lace bra-let or top underneath. If I wanted to give it an extra edge I'd accessorise with a chunky necklace. We chose a berry tones as opposed to the standard plum colour just to make the collection a bit different from the rest. It's still autumnal but has an extra bit of brightness. I think it's nice to hold onto a bit of that while it gets cold and grey outside!"
The new collection is really versatile
"I've purposely created a collection where every single piece can be worn day or night. Whoever wears it can choose to glam it up or dress it down as they please. From my experience there aren't any strict rules any more with fashion, you can dress down and still fit in at a club. Things have massively relaxed regarding occasions and when you should wear certain things, the range reflects that freedom."
Designers and fashion weeks inspired me
"Loads of things inspired me with this range. I look on a lot of blogs, and Instagram is great too. I paid close attention to all the fashion week shows, especially the street style looks. I take elements from existing designs I like, for example, a lot of the cut-outs in the new range were inspired by other pieces. After we'd shot the campaign images, I noticed the khaki jumpsuit actually looks really similar to something Balmain recently did. That would cost you thousands whereas this is affordable!"
My Autumn style tips
"My top tip is to mainly stick to neutral tones, that way you can mix and match everything in your wardrobe and get more wear out of things. Cold weather arrives gradually and you sometimes end up getting too hot in a thick coat. My advice is to phase in, so choose a sleeveless jacket and then you can adjust to the temperature with different layers underneath."
Diane Kruger and Kendall Jenner are my celeb style faves
"Diane Kruger would be my dream celeb to style. Although I wouldn't actually need to style her, she always looks great! I think she'd wear the khaki cut-out wide leg jumpsuit in such a cool way. You can take something you'd see on someone else and then she'll wear it and it will look like a totally different outfit. During TOWIE's last trip to Marbs, I looked for clever, one-piece outfits that I could just throw on. I cut up a dress and turned it into a skirt. I copied it from Kendall Jenner actually. I saw her in a sheer top and skirt combo and thought it looked great."
