Hosted by Ellen DeGeneres and held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California, as ever, the Oscars were all about the dresses, hair, make-up and nails.
Yes, this year's 86th Annual Academy Awards was a gorgeous, glittering affair – but we wouldn't expect anything less of the pinnacle of Hollywood's awards season.
When it comes to trends, there wasn't a huge amount of bright colour to be seen, but there were a lot of deep toned gowns like Amy Adams in sapphire blue (above) and Idina Menzel in dark, emerald green.
We also saw a lot of black, white, metallic and neutral-toned gowns – as well as a ton of statement, very-expensive-looking necklaces.
Talking of white, even the guys embraced this trend with Ryan Seacrest, Matthew McConaughey and Jared Leto all looking rather dashing in white tuxedos.
Some of our Oscar favourites included a beautifully pregnant Olivia Wilde (below) looked amazing in a black, high-neck Valentino frock with a white slash down the back.
And we literally couldn't take our eyes of Lupita Nyong'o's fabulous pale blue, pleated Prada dress the '12 Years a Slave' actress said "reminds me of Nairobi"...
Meanwhile, everyone was talking about the arrival of Hollywood legend, Liza Minelli who looked fab in a cobalt blue trouser suit, complete with a matching blue fringe.
Very Katy Perry, Liza!
As always, though, there were too many fabulous ladies to talk about so check out our rolling gallery of all the best dressed on the red carpet and see for yourselves...
