Mariah Carey is fast becoming one to watch in the arm sling style stakes, as she stepped out last night in another customised contraption - this time covered in studs!

The award-winning songstress - who dislocated her shoulder last month - was seen at the premiere for Lee Daniels' The Butler yesterday (5 August) wearing a black faux leather sling on her right arm that was adorned with silver studs. She certainly knows how to stay on trend!

Given that her arm ended up being the main feature of her outfit, Mariah kept her dress simple and accessorised with a black headband, a silver cuff and a pair of cute peep toe heels that featured lace detailing and little bows.

Mariah, 43, was joined at the premiere by her comedian husband Nick Cannon, 32, who complemented his stunning wife by donning an all-black suit with a black fedora hat.

The couple appeared to be having a great time together on the red carpet and no doubt Nick was proud to see Mariah soldier on with promotion for the film despite her injury.

Mother-of-twins Mariah stars in The Butler as field slave Hattie Pearl and appears on the big screen alongside huge names such as Terrence Howard, Oprah Winfrey and Lenny Kravitz.

And luckily, her role in the historical drama was filmed before her accident!

Mariah dislocated her shoulder in July after apparently stumbling over in a pair of heels on the set of her remix video for her single '#Beautiful'. She was then rushed to a nearby hospital in New York where she made a speedy recovery and was swiftly back at work, performing on stage in a variety of unique slings covered in feathers and jewels.
