Lost star Evangeline Lilly showed off a completely new hairstyle at the premiere of The Hobbit in New Zealand yesterday, looking miles away from the Kate we always knew!

Evangeline, who played Kate Austen on the mysterious island drama, has swapped her long dark locks for a short, blonde streaked bob, which she showed off on the red carpet in Wellington yesterday (27 November).

Evangeline, 33, stars as Woodland Elf Tauriel in the latest movie from Lord of the Rings genius Peter Jackson, which opens in cinemas next month.

We're excited already - and happy to see Evangeline back in the spotlight after she took some time off when the addictively confusing Lost ended back in 2010.

Since then, the actress - who dated her Lost co-star Dominic Monaghan (Charlie) for years - has become a mum to son Kahekili with her boyfriend Norman Kali, who worked as a production assistant on Lost.
