She endeared us to geeky glasses, made flat shoes fashionable, and transformed the humble school satchel into must-have arm-candy.

And now dungarees - previously only acceptable on the under-5s - are the latest formerly-frumpy item to get the Alexa treatment.



The unofficial British style ambassador attended a New York store opening wearing cute Charlotte Olympia cat pumps, a long sleeved white tee, and a pair of denim dungaree shorts.

With her trademark bed-head hair and a slick of orange lippie, Alexa made a stylish statement at the rooftop launch.
