The reality star has put on her designer hat once again to launch her latest line for the online retailer, filled with pretty printed co-ords, sharp suits and cute slogan sweatshirts.
Reveal grabbed a chat with Lauren to discuss her latest venture, along with her must-have fashion buys for autumn, her top style crush and her favourite beauty trend of the moment.
Talk us through some of your fave pieces from your new collection...
"I've got a lot of tailoring, which I'm obsessed with, like a red trouser suit and a navy short suit. There's also a skirt suit which is very Cher from Clueless-inspired, and there's some nice lace evening dresses. There's co-ords too, which I guess is a look people tend to know me for."
Are you very involved in the design process?
"Yes, 100%, which is why it took a bit longer to create than your average celebrity range, but I prefer it that way. I'd rather put my name to something I'm 100% happy with, I couldn't promote something I wouldn't wear myself."
When you're designing, do you ever hit a brick wall and find it hard to come up with ideas?
"Not really, I do mood boards and look at street style photography and blogs. My brain is always ticking with ideas, but sometimes you design something and get the sample back and it just doesn't work. That's sad, but you've got to learn to move on and think about the next thing."
If you could see any celebrity wearing your range, who would it be?
"At the moment I'd say Jamie Chung. She's an actress and she's my new style crush!"
We love her too!
"She just puts outfits and separates together so well, doesn't she? I base a lot of outfits on her. But I don't want people to discover [her], I want her all to myself! [Laughs]"
What must-have pieces are in your autumn wardrobe?
"I've just bought two pairs of over-the-knee boots, I wanted to get them last year but they sold out, so I got in there early this year! They're by Stuart Weitzman. Olivia Palermo has some in her Aquazzura shoe collection that I really wanted to get, but they sold out too. Also, I'm obsessed with buying coats at the moment. I'm buying my proper winter coats now because they sell out so fast!"
How would you say your style has evolved since you first started TOWIE?
"I'd say it's a lot more mature. I think I've learnt that less is more!"
Do you ever look back at your outfits on old episodes and cringe?
"Yes! To be fair, I wasn't that bad, most of my daytime outfits were fine. But on nights out people would get a bit excited, and when everyone first came onto the show, it was like we all wanted attention. But now that everyone is more confident in their own roles in the show, you realise you don't have to do that anymore."
What's your signature outfit for a night out nowadays?
"Probably an over-the-knee skirt and a crop top. It shows just the right amount of flesh and covers the bits I don't like! And then I'd drape a jacket over my shoulders, it looks effortlessly chic."
Do you still wear bodycon dresses and towering heels?
"Erm... no! It's funny actually, all of my heels have massively come down in size. As you get older, you understand what does and doesn't work for you. Even if something is a massive trend, if it doesn't suit me then I don't wear it."
What parts of your body do you like to show off?
"I like my abs, I work hard on my abs so I like to show them off. I like my arms too. Now it's a bit colder I think trousers and a crop top is such an easy, effortless look, and I feel comfortable in it. It also means I don't have to tan my legs which is great when I'm in a hurry, I just tan my ankles and belly! [Laughs]"
Are you more of a high street or a designer girl?
"High street for clothes, definitely. But I tend to invest money in designer shoes because I think they genuinely last a lot longer and they tend to not be so trend-focused. And also coats, I've got a beautiful Burberry leather mac that I know will last me years."
Have you been to Victoria Beckham's new store yet?
"I haven't but I want to go. It's very expensive though so I'll probably just have a browse!"
Let's talk about beauty - what trends are you loving this autumn?
"I've just bought a plum lipstick by Burberry, I took it to Ibiza but I didn't have the guts to wear it! I need a make-up artist to help me because I can only do one kind of make-up look with smoky eyes. But I think for a plum lip you need a really minimum eye look, just eyelashes and a bit of liner. I'm terrible at doing an eyeliner flick though, mine always goes wonky so I end up covering it up with eyeshadow! [Laughs]"
Any make-up tips you can pass on?
"Use your finger to apply lipstick rather than a brush, it makes such a difference as it doesn't clog and it comes out more like a stain."
You recently jetted back from Ibiza - do you have any advice for helping to prolong a holiday tan?
"To be honest I don't really sunbathe on holiday as I'm quite fair-skinned underneath all this fake tan! All that would happen is I'd go slightly tanned, but it would fade the next day. I use Vita Liberata pHenomenal 2-3 Week Tan, £37.50, instead. I think after you've come back from holiday, you should get in the shower and exfoliate from head-to-toe. Frank Body Scrub, £11.95, is amazing, it has coffee in it and makes your skin feel like silk."
