And, in true Gemma style, she rocked up looking fabulous in a colourful floral dress from her own collection, which will be available to buy from her boutique any day now.
Chatting exclusively to Reveal before the ceremony, Gemma said: "I love my collection so much. My dresses are all named after countries and they take you to that country. I've got casual pieces and dressy pieces. I am a bigger girl, and I'm proud to wear my dresses.
"I'm proud of who I am, I embrace what I am and I embrace my curves. You ain't gonna be putting me in a plain black dress honey! I've already won an award for British Plus-Size Fashion Designer and I'm up for an award tonight, we'll wait and see what happens."
The stylista went on to pick up the Editor's Choice award that evening, which recognised her contribution to the fashion world thanks to her popular plus-size clothing collection.
Gemma paired her knee-length frock with towering peep-toe heels and bouncy blonde curls, while flaunting flawless skin and a slick of candy floss pink lippy.
"I love a bit of Chanel Vitalumiere Satin Fluid Make-up Foundation, £36, it's lovely, really flawless on the skin and not too heavy," said Gemma.
"I wear Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess Bronzer, £30 – although I should tone it down a bit – and I like Bourjois, a bit of Superdrug. I'm not into massive expensive brands but I always make sure I've got an Armani or Chanel foundation. I'm lucky I've got good skin. I do go overboard with the bronzer but I love it. Bronzer and pink lipstick is my thing, isn't it? I am who I am, and I'll always be the same."
But despite her false lashes and shimmery highlighter, Gem admitted she doesn't mind ditching the slap and going bare-faced either.
"I believe as you get older, you're better off going more natural. I haven't got loads of make-up on tonight. When you're younger you put more on, but as you get older you get more comfortable in your own skin. For me, I put make-up on tonight to look polished.
"I don't mind people seeing me without make-up but I think, when you're going to an event, make-up finishes off your look. It's nice, you feel glam with it on. Some people feel more confident with it, I feel confident without it, but I think when I have my make-up on, I feel I can perform then. Sometimes when you're not wearing it you feel a bit funny, a bit shy. It definitely does give you that added confidence."
As well as her own fashion boutique, Gemma also has a fake tan brand, House of Essex by Gemma Collins, but she still admits she sometimes has the odd tanning disaster!
"I've had some terrible tan disasters," she laughed. "All the time, you've seen me haven't you! Thing is, if someone comes round my house to spray tan me, I go, 'Please do another coat, please do another coat!' They don't want to do it, then I wake up in the morning thinking I wish I'd listened to them. I wake up glowing... like Ronseal! But what can you do?!"
