Are bald guys sexier than hairy men?

Men should no longer fear losing their hair as those with shaved heads appear tougher and more powerful than those with a barnet, claims a survey.

Bald-headed blokes are also seen as taller, stronger and having greater potential to be leaders. So are the Reveal girls in favour of a shaved head?

Finally, a survey that confirms everything I've learnt in the past couple of years – bald men are sexy!

Admittedly, I haven't always been big on baldies. When I was younger, I preferred a thick head of hair on the lads I fancied. But now I've reached my mid (ok..late) 20s, I've changed my mind.

When I met him, my ex had mousy brown hair. It was something I didn't really think about. It was just… there. Until, after six weeks together, I got a phone call.

"I've had quite a boring day," he said, casually. "Been to work, shaved my head."

Immediately, I was on alert. He'd done what? He wasn't balding, he hadn't needed to get rid of any wispy tufts.

So when I went to see him that night, I admit it, I was apprehensive. But as soon as I saw him, I was pleasantly surprised. He looked… good. Sexier. More manly. He was worried he looked slightly menacing but he didn't. Well, not in a bad way, anyway.

Admittedly, we're not together now but it definitely wasn't because of his shaved head. And since then, my eyes have been opened to a whole new world of hotties. Lots of actors voluntarily pick up a razor and part with their locks – Jason Statham, Wentworth Miller... and who doesn't love America's Next Top Model's Nigel Barker?

So, if there are any guys out there who are noticing any loose strands with concern, please don't. You've already got one fan here!

I can't help it, the first thing I think when I see a balding man is that he's old – and probably twice my age.

Don't get me wrong, if Vin Diesel or Bruce Willis started chatting me up, I'd be as giggly as the next girl. But there is something sexy about being able to run your hands through a full head of hair.

The very idea of being able to see my reflection bouncing off a polished head is a massive turn off.

And are bald men tougher? I don't think so. Heartthrob Rob Pattinson drove girls wild as Edward Cullen in Twilight with his tousled mane, and how many girls go weak at the knees at the sight of long-haired lovely Jonny Depp? No one can argue that these Hollywood hearthrobs don't have power, charm and charisma by the bucket-load.

A full head of hair also allows a guy to style it to suit his personality - it's easy to judge a man by his hair. Surfer, jock, toff... with one well-placed quiff or floppy fringe, you know what – or who – you're dealing with.

Another plus? Hair products! So when you're running late after missing your alarm, you can just pinch his shampoo and hair gel to tame your own wayward locks. Just make sure he doesn't start laying claim to your hairdryer and straighteners every morning, though!
