Britney Spears is a successful pop singer who has released seven multi-platinum albums She was launched into the limelight when her debut single, '...Baby One More Time', reached number one in more than 15 different countries, and has since become known for songs like 'Oops... I Did It Again', 'Toxic' and 'Womanizer'. Spears has also been the center of media attention. In 2004, her marriage to Jason Alexander lasted 55 hours until it was annulled, and then tied the knot with dancer Kevin Federline. Despite sharing two children, Spears and Federline divorced in 2007, and experienced a public breakdown. The singer has since recovered and released her seventh studio album entitled Femme Fatale. She has also a minor acting career, appearing in sitcom How I Met Your Mother and musical series Glee. She will be the judge on the second series of the US The X Factor.
