2016 has been an absolutely AH-MAZING year for make-up and we've been bombarded with so much talent, it's unreal.

So whether you're looking for cut crease inspo or an entirely new way to wear highlighter, here are the ten make-up artists - celeb-approved, we'll have you know - that you need to follow on Instagram.

Gabriella Floyd

It's not all about blinding highlights and dramatic, stage-style eye make-up. If you can give skin that naturally dewy, lit-from-within look like Gabriella Floyd, everyone will want a piece of you. Love Island's Cara de la Hoyde is a huge fan of her ability to fashion a set of cracking cheekbones from nothing but bronzer and she's also a dab hand with a pot of glitter pigment. Celebs we'd love to see her make over? The naturally beautiful Kendall Jenner and Emily Ratajkowski, of course!

Katie Bishop

Forget Kardashian MUA Joyce Bonelli - it's Katie who made sultry red eye-shadow a thing this year. She isn't afraid to push the beauty boundaries (bubblegum pink lips and copper lids? Alright then!) and boasts a pretty impressive client list including Holly Hagan, Courtney Green and stunning model Erin Budina. We have a feeling she'll be world-famous soon.

Thomas Jack

We have Love Island's Katie Salmon to thank for introducing us to ultra-talented Thomas and we absolutely LOVE that he gives each look a whirl on his own face first. From cut creases to glitter-splashed lips, there isn't a trend he won't try and we're mesmerised by each and every one of his posts. Thomas, please be our BFF?

Laura Louise

Is there any look Laura Louise can't totally nail? Think beautiful bronzed skin, Kylie Jenner-inspired matte lips (using super-affordable Barry M, FYI) and shimmer-laden smokey eyes and you've got her in a nutshell. Made In Chelsea's Tiffany Watson and TOWIE's Chloe Meadows are just a handful of celebs that have her on speed dial - we do, too!

Francesca Kearns

We couldn't stop staring at Love Island star Olivia Buckland's f-l-a-w-l-e-s-s make-up at her Quiz Clothing cocktail party earlier in the month and that's because she booked in for a glam sesh with pal Francesca Kearns beforehand. The make-up maestro (who we're pretty certain has magic hands) specialises in body art and Ru Paul-inspired eyes but she can do soft glam just as well. Her contour skills are unrivalled - yeah, we went there!

Melissa Wharton

The word SLAY springs to mind when we feast our eyes on Melissa's work (Charlotte Crosby is more or less in love with her) and, if we're being honest, we've never seen brows so fab. She has a way of perfecting foundation so that each face looks airbrushed and can apply false lashes in about 0.02 seconds.

Kiera Rose Lane

Forget fresh skin and barely there lips, Kiera is ALL about the drahmz - and when we say drahmz, we mean bright purple lids, bushy brows and eyeliner so sharp it could cause whole lotta damage. She puts the 'art' in make-up artist, for sure, so if you're in Essex, give her a bell!

Melissa Sophia

Melissa can make anyone look like a goddess and she's Insta-famous for her ability to give even the dullest of complexions a healthy, candlelit glow. Just like us, she loves a feline flick and lashings of shimmer. P.S. She's just as stunning as her clients - what a babe!

Kate Hayes

Kate is putting pink eyeshadow back on the beauty map and she isn't afraid to crack out the cobalt blue every once in a while! She has her own salon and does brows, lashes and hair, too. DUH!

Yasmin James

We call Yasmin the queen of the power brow and you only have to glimpse a handful of her snaps to see why! Too much eyeshadow is never enough and she's a genius when it comes to Halloween-inspired looks. Geordie Shore's Chloe Ferry and Sophie Kasaei can't live without her.
