Love Island's Katie Salmon has a figure to-die-for (seriously, who else could pull off skimpy metallic swimsuits and bodycon in the same week?) but she has been forced to defend her shape after hinting that she has received a handful of negative comments about her weight recently.

Say whaaaat?

On Monday morning (10 October) Katie - who has her very own clothing collection with celeb-approved Prodigal Fox - took to Instagram to get real honest about her (amazing, just saying) body and she blasted the negative vibes at the same time.

The confident reality star shared a snap of herself clad in a rather racy lacy bodysuit (swit-swoo!) and captioned it,

"I'm like any normal girl. I've put on a few pounds like anybody so what?"

Showing off her inkings and bare bottom in the thong one-piece, the brunette beauty went on to defend her beautiful, shapely figure and wrote, "I love my curves and nobody can ever take that away from me. They are here to stay and look this fabulous."

You tell 'em, Katie!

Like every picture Katie posts to Instagram, the comments came in thick and fast, and her fans and followers couldn't have been more supportive.

"Obviously you're a gorgeous and sexy woman, so your curves reflect that! #f*ckthehaters (sic)," wrote one, while another said, "Who has said anything about your body???? You have a lovely figure. I'd love a bum like yours!!! Ignore the haters."

One even commented, "Being yourself is the best thing you can do, whatever you look like and [you're] amazing."

Hear, hear, guys.

With that in mind, Katie isn't the only Love Island star to fall victim to body criticism recently, as Zara Holland has also spoken openly about her struggle.

Speaking to Reveal last month, Zara revealed that even though she is happy with the way she looks, she has spotted a bit of a difference in her shape over the past few months.

She also gave us a few tips on how to deal with the bodyshamers!

"Don't get me wrong, I do want to tone up," Zara said.

"I compare myself to what I looked like before I went into Love Island and what I do now and there is a huge difference, it's hard. But at the same time, I want to embrace it - being a real woman. I just say ignore [the people who post nasty comments] block and delete and get on with your day."

Sound advice, Zar!
