One word, dear Revealers: chrome.
Chrome, metallic and mirrored nails are having a bit of a moment right now and that moment is expected to last waaaaay into 2017 if our predictions are right.
We should have known it was going to be a huge trend when super-style icon Gigi Hadid rocked a mirrored chrome mani at this year's Met Gala back in May.
The model killed it on the New York red carpet with silver foil nails that cost an eye-watering $2000! But fear not, ladies, for it was the placement of a single crystal on the underside of each nail that sent the price sky-high!
The actual nails themselves were much more affordable, with Gigi's manicurist Mar y Sol Inzerillo fessing up that she actually used stick-on falsies by KISS Beauty to create Gigi's stunning look.
And at a less than a tenner for a set, that's a look we really can copy – yes!
Meanwhile, Malin has also got in on the trend with her own take on the new nail obsession...
"Oh hey chrome nails!" the reality star Instagrammed on Tuesday (13 September), along with a photo of her gorgeous digits (above).
Chrome nails have historically been pretty tricky to perfect because that high-shine polish can often look amazing in the bottle... but dull and rubbish when you paint it on on your nails.
But with great falsies (thanks KISS), better polish technologies (yes we're talking to you, Orly Colour Blast Silver Chrome Foil Polish, £9.50) and the invention of chrome powders, now they're a cinch!
A lot like loose eyeshadow, chrome nail powders are applied over gel polish to create that shiny, mirrored effect we LOVE.
Indigo Nail Metal Manix Multi Chrome is a big favourite with us, £6, indigonails.co.uk, but it's definitely best left to the pros because it needs to be applied over professional gel polish and cured under an LED lamp.
We're totally OK with that though.
You? Then ask your manicurist if they can get in on the action, like now!
