Former Coronation Street star Georgia May Foote has pulled a Kylie Jenner on us and taken her chocolate brown tresses an in-your-face shade of platinum blonde - but all is not what it seems...

On Monday evening, (12 September) the Strictly babe took to Instagram to give her 482K followers a glimpse of her brand spanking new barnet.

She captioned the sneak peek selfie in which she rocked a whole head of Marilyn Monroe-inspired, Hollywood-esque barrel curls, "Oh hey blondie...," - although there was absolutely no fooling some of her fans.

Yup, you guessed it. Totally a wig!

Stunning Georgia is currently making waves in the stage adaptation of Breakfast At Tiffany's as Holly Gollightly and, like Michelle Keegan, the role required her to go blonde.

However, she dodged the dye (phew!) and opted for a fuss-free hairpiece in a bid to save her natural, enviable dark locks from being completely transformed.

"Blonde wig for the role in a new show!" wrote one of her followers, quelling rumours she had actually hit the bottle (of hair dye, we mean!) while another said, "I know it's a wig but how gorgeous does she look with blonde hair? I think she should experiment!"

One even said, "Georgia as a blonde. OH MY GOD."

It totally suits her, right?

That said, Ms. Foote isn't the only celeb to get wiggy with it this month, as Geordie Shore star Chloe Ferry also took to the picture sharing app to show off her new, bleached blonde hair-piece, which boasted a duo of braids and wispy bangs.
