Love Island's Olivia Buckland has explained why she feels the need to defend her stunning bikini selfies - and the reason has made us adore her even more!

With her tiny waist and catwalk-worthy pins there's no denying Liv has a figure to-die-for, but lately, she has been forced to defend her Instagram snaps after a handful of followers accused her of Photoshopping her body.

Olivia vehemently denied altering any of her images and put her wasp waist and slender pins down to losing a little weight and knowing exactly how to work her angles.

Talking exclusively to she mentioned that having to explain herself whenever she posts a pic can get extremely draining, but there's a very good reason behind why she chooses to do so.

"I wouldn't normally defend myself if I've posted a picture," Olivia told us, "but I feel like people will then think I'm lying to them and that's what I hate. I don't want people to think, oh she is photoshopping her pictures."

She continued, "All the girls that support me on Instagram know I wouldn't do anything like that - that's not really me - I just wouldn't. I feel like I need to defend myself for the followers that show me so much support because I don't want them to sit there and think that I'm photoshopping myself because I'm not confident and that they shouldn't feel confident either. That's what got me, otherwise I wouldn't care."

The stunner - who recently asked island beau Alex Bowen to move in to her Essex flat - went on to explain exactly how the negative comments make her feel.

"It's irritating," Olivia said.

"I would never do that to someone else or comment something nasty on someone else's picture - I just don't see the point - so when someone else does it, I don't get it. I don't get why you'd take the time to do that."

The reality star mentioned that even though it's annoying to see, she is slowly getting used to filtering out the bad comments and focussing on those who support her.

"Now, I only focus on the people that are nice to me. My friends and family will always support me - they actually take the p**s out of the people that leave nasty comments! A lot of the time, the people that support me are the girls on Instagram - my followers."

She went on to say, "It's weird because I'd never call anyone my fans, but I feel like they support me so much - I'm grateful for those people that stick up for me. If I didn't have them no-one would really be sticking up for me on social media."

N'aw! We're always here for you Liv - keep on doing your thang.
