And we love that her nails spoke volumes about her latest movie role...
Margot, 26, stars in the DC Comics-inspired movie which hits the big screen this week, alongside Will Smith, Cara Delevingne and Jared Leto who together form a supervillain team recruited from prison to fight evil.
She plays Harley Quinn in the film, a hot pant-clad, evil blonde who is the Joker's frequent accomplice and lover.
Apt then, that her nails had the words 'evil' emblazoned across them for the world premiere at The Beacon Theatre in New York City on Monday night (1 August)!
Dressed in a black and gold, unicorn-sequinned Alexander McQueen dress, along with a tousled updo and deep berry lips, Margot looked absolutely stunning on the red carpet. And although on first glimpse her nails looked pretty understated... on closer inspection they were anything but!
Margot's 'evil' mani was created by celebrity manicurist Elle, who let us in on all the details. Here's how to create the look at home:
1. "First, prep the nails by filing and shaping them. Then apply a base coat," Elle explains.

2. "Next, paint your nails with Red Carpet Manicure Nail Lacquer in Simply Adorable. Then, when this has dried, layer Red Carpet Manicure Nail Lacquer in My Secret Admirer over the top."
3. "When your polish has dried, use a fine-tipped brush to write 'EVIL' across your nails," Elle continues. "Start with your forefinger and end with the pinky, using a jet black polish like Black Stretch Limo, £8, redcarpetmanicure.co.uk to create each letter."
4. "Wait for this to dry," she says. "Then finish with a gorgeously glossy topcoat and you are done."
