Thanks Julianne, because our other celebrity nail icons have been particularly quiet recently. Has anyone else noticed that? Jessie J, Rihanna, Lily Allen where ARE you? Our nails need you...
Taking to Instagram on Wednesday (25 May), the former Dancing With The Stars star showed us a glimpse of what was about to be created by celebrity nail artist, Tracylee Percival.
"So excited to have a nail art DIY from the nail genius @luxebytracylee," Julianne wrote.
"This sophisticated look is so easy, even the shakiest hands can make it happen!" she added, along with the first step, above.
Over on juliannehough.com, she and Traceylee continued to explain how to create these two-toned chevron nails. Here's how:
1. After buffing and filing your nails into neat, even squovals, polish one corner of each nail to form a triangle shape.
"If you don't have a steady hand, you can use thin tape. Place the tape on the nail to make the straight line," Traceylee advises.
For a similar shade, we love Essie Nail Lacquer in Chocolate Cakes, £7.99, boots.com.
2. "Next, we used a grey-beige nail colour to complete the chevron on the other side of the nail (making a smaller triangle)," explains Traceylee.
"I find it easier to use a detail art brush for this step," she adds.
Try an old lipliner brush dipped in L'Oréal Paris Colour Riche Nail Polish in Greige Amoureux, £4.99, superdrug.com for a similar look.
3. When the tips of every nail is done, wait a few minutes for the colours to dry, then finish with a glossy, clear topcoat like Models Own Hyper Gel Top Coat, £7.99, modelsownit.com.
"Will you be trying on this trend?" concludes Traceylee.
Hell yes! With all manner of different colour combos too.
Try gold and navy for a sexy evening vibe, or mix up your pastels for a pretty daytime look.
