Millie Mackintosh intensified our Coachella envy on Friday (15 April) when she rocked up to day one of this year's Music & Arts Festival with the perfect festival hairdo.

Slightly messy, half-up and tied with gold thread for that extra Coachella bling factor? Love.

Millie returns to this year's Coachella after nailing a very stylish festival in 2015, complete with face gems, denim cut-offs and the obligatory sunhat.

And after sunning it up in LA all week, we KNOW she's going to look more bronzed and gorgeous at this year's style-fest than ever. A good job, because no doubt the likes of Kendall and Kylie Jenner will also be in attendance looking ridiculously cool.

And we already know Vanessa Hudgens is there, because we coveted her festi-ready manicure earlier this week (you're welcome).

Millie took to Instagram to show off her first Coachella beauty hit on Friday, as the weekend kicked off at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California.

And hell-o festival hair!

"Coachella day one – festival hair with metallic thread by @ghdhair #ghdXcoachella #threads," the former MIC star posted along with the gorgeous photo above.

#TBT: Millie nailed it in the glam stakes at last year's Coachella Music & Arts Festival, 11 April 2015

Millie had the privilege of some professional styling at this year's festival from the hair gurus at ghd (seethe) and what a great look this is – and perfectly copyable for us lesser mortals!

Here's how:

1. For the easiest waves, braid your hair before hitting the sack (aka your sleeping bag), then untie in the morning and rough up your hair. Simples.

2. Next, part your hair in the middle and section off two one-inch pieces from the front of your hair. Twist each section around to the back of your head and tie with a covered band.

3. To finish, wrap a piece of gold thread around the band (you should find some at your local haberdashery or have all manner of glam options), then criss-cross it down your ponytail and tie in a knot at the ends.
