Cara Delevingne gave us some major hair inspo at the weekend with a tiny hairline plait that made us all rush to the mirror to practice our braiding skills.

Braids always make an appearance in some way on the red carpet, but this little accent braid, along Cara's side-parting is a new one to us. And we LOVE. IT.

Cara, 23, debuted her expertly coiffed do at the 2016 MTV Movie Awards in Burbank, California on Saturday (9 April) which she attended along with some of our favourite style icons, including Gigi Hadid (*new hair alert) and Kendall Jenner (*slight wardrobe malfunction)!

The Suicide Squad star looked as sizzling hot as ever, dressed in a black, sheer-panelled Balmain trouser-suit and Jimmy Choo heels.

Her make-up was fairly nude, sticking with peachy cheeks, nude shimmering eyes and matte lips. And it goes without saying that her eyebrows were ever-present!

But it was Cara's fabulous hairline brand that got us in a tizzy, here at Reveal HQ.

Her do was created by celebrity hairdresser Mara Rosza, who just opened LA's latest it hair salon, Mare Salon in West Hollywood, along with fellow stylist Alex Polillo and colorist Denis De Souza.

Mara Instagrammed a close-up snap of Cara's look on Sunday (below) along with the simple words:

"Part it. Braid it. I like it."

If only creating such a tiny plait along our own partings were as simple as that...

If you do fancy trying to recreate this look, part your hair to one side, then start French braiding tiny (and we mean REALLY tiny) sections of hair from the back of your parting.

Work your way along the parting to the front of your hairline, then snake the plait down the side and behind her ear.

Sounds easy, we know, but getting such a perfect-looking, itsy-bitsy plait is no mean feat. Trust us, we've already tried!

Our advice? Pop to your favourite hairdressers and ask them to recreate it for you.
