Until now, that is.
Charlotte rarely looks anything less than super-glam on the red carpet and her trademark nude glossy lips, long lashes and bronzed, contoured cheeks are never far from the top of our must-try looks week after week.
The Geordie Shore star even started her own make-up tutorials on YouTube at the beginning of the year – which make for pretty hilarious viewing if ever you have five minutes to spare!
But when it comes to wearing a classic red lip? Well, you just don't find her doing so.
"I tend to go nude on a nighttime and a little bit more natural during the day," she explained in one of her tutorials. "I sometimes go for a dark brown colour which I really like."
But red? Never.
On Wednesday (6 April), however, our Charlotte took to Instagram to show off a completely different make-up look, behind-the-scenes on a secret venture...
"Working on a pretty snazzy secret today," she posted.
"And this is my VERY 1st time with a RED LIP! It was @makeupbymikey who took me to the red side with this beautiful makeup look today. WHAT A STAR!"
Wow. How amazing does she look with this classic, Hollywood pout – created by celebrity make-up artist Mikey Phillips? And if her fans are anything to go by, maybe a little bit like her fellow Geordie Shore star, Holly Hagan?
Although if you ask us, we think she looks more like Little Mixer, Jade Thirlwall...
Charlotte's dip into the red side proves that EVERYONE has a perfect red lip shade – it's just a matter of finding the right one.
To help, here are our four top tips:
1. If you have tanned skin or warm undertones in your complexion, an orange-based shade like MAC Lipstick in Lady Danger, £15.50, maccosmetics.co.uk will suit you a treat.
2. Paler skin types that have cool or pink undertones look best with pinky-red, raspberry-toned lipsticks. Try Illamasqua Lipstick in Box, £19.50, illamasqua.com.
3. Not sure what kind of undertones (cool, warm or neutral) you have in your skin? Then think about whether you look best in silver (cool) or gold (warm) jewellery – or both (neutral)! Also if you tend to tan easily, you're more likely to have warm undertones and vice versa.
4. If you have thin lips, avoid anything too matte and instead stick to shimmery or glossy textures that reflect light and give the illusion of a fuller pout. We love Yves Saint Laurent Gloss Volupte Lip Gloss in No. 208, £22, boots.com.
