Whitney Port made us all want to live in California this week, when she showed off a gorgeous, multi-coloured pastel manicure in the LA sunshine...

And while it could be a few weeks until we see warmer temperatures in Blighty (snow, anyone?!), we can at least get in on some spring-like nail colours in the meantime, right?

LOVING Whitney's nails... now bring on some sunshine! 3 March 2016

Whitney treated herself to a: "Pastel Birthday mani," on Thursday (3 March) to celebrate turning 31 years of age on Friday.

And after we got over the fact that Whitney is going to be 31 – when did THAT happen? – we decided enough was enough with this rubbish British weather, because it's time to channel some of Whit's mani action and get some colour into our lives, too.

Whitney's multi-coloured look came thanks to the nail team at Olivia & June who has three swanky nail bars in and around Los Angeles.

And while the former The Hills star shunned the obvious pastel choices of pink and lilac, we're loving how she mixed up her shades with this gorgeous 'spring blooms' look.

Whitney opted for nude, baby blue, mint green, peach and cornflower blue which looked absolutely stunning on her impeccably shaped, perfect-length tips.

To copy her look, check out OPI and Essie. These brands are loved by the Olive & June team and they both have a HUGE array of stunning pastels.

We also love Maybelline Forever Strong SuperStay Pastel Nail Polish collection, £4.49,

Just remember to paint a different colour on each nail and make each hand totally different too. This means if you paint one thumb green, paint the other thumb nude and so on...

Go for two thin coats of colour for an even-looking result and finish with a glossy topcoat for a super-professional finish.

Then, pray for sunshine!
