And it was nice to hear the 'Roar' singer needs help in the volume department just as much as the rest of us!
Katy attended this year's Golden Globes with all manner of stars from stage and screen and looked gorgeous as she posed on the red carpet at at LA's Beverly Hilton Hotel in a 'rose quartz' Prada gown.
In an pre-awards interview with E! Live From The Red Carpet's Ryan Seacrest, Katy explained how rose quartz was the Pantone Colour Of the Year which was why she chose the stunning, floor-length dress.
"I got my wig out and my globes," she then added, pointing to her hair and cleavage, before being joined by Best Actress winner for Joy, JLaw!
After much gushing and air-kissing with the Hunger Games star, Katy then fessed up about the secret to her sexy, bouffant hairdo.
"'I have a Bumpit in here," Katy explained to Jen and Ryan.
"It's an as-seen-on-TV Bumpit... it's like a loaf of bread for later!" she joked.
Bumpits are basically self-gripping hair combs, you fix under your hair to add much-needed oomph to such styles like Katy's sexy, retro beehive.
And being available on amazon.co.uk from £2.99 means we predict these are going to be hot, hot, HOT this year after Ms Perry revealed she's a big fan!
You could also try pinning a hair doughnut into the crown area of your hair for similar volume. We love Boots Hair Styling Roly Polys, £4.79, boots.com.
Katy presented the award for Best Original Song at Sunday night's glitzy do which was won by our very own Sam Smith and Jimmy Napes for Spectre's 'Writing's On The Wall.'
And this wasn't the only Brit win on the night with Kate Winslet taking the Best Supporting Actress gong for her role in Steve Jobs.
