This week in talons we've seen Khloe Kardashian champion Barbie pink and TOWIE's Ferne McCann opt for a gorgeous matte mint green - but 4th Impact star Mylene Cercado just proved that nude is back with a bang!

The absolutely stunning singer - who is a fourth of X Factor girl band - 4th Impact took to Instagram yesterday evening to show off the show-stopping digits and we were surprised to learn that she swerved the salon and whipped up the look by herself!

Er, is there anything these girls can't do?

Flaunting her lengthy acrylic nails which boasted a beautiful gold filigree design and expertly squared off tips, Mylene clutched O.P.I's nail polish in Samoan Sand, £12.50 - a classic, creamy shade that looks ah-mazing on all skin tones.

For a precise finish a la Mylene, celebrity nail expert Glenis Baptiste suggests picking up the polish on one side of the brush and wiping any excess off on the other side. To start, simply paint a stripe down the centre of your nail and then one on the left and right.

Given the super-light hue, be sure to treat your nail to at least two coats to eliminate streaks.

Now for the nail art! If you don't have a steady hand like Mylene, pick up the Blue Banana Nail Art Sheets - which are a complete steal at £1 each - for a similar 3D effect.

Wait for your nails to dry completely and use a pair of scissors to snip off sections of the pattern - then stick directly onto the centre of the nail bed and lacquer over with topcoat.

Red carpet ready nails, here we come! Thanks for the inspo, Mylez.
