Believe it or not, alice bands have come a long way since the precarious looking metal types with zig-zag teeth and garish multicoloured flowers - and Little Mix's Jade Thirlwall is the fashion accessory's newest advocate!

Yesterday, the songstress who is currently touring Tokyo with bandmates Perrie Edwards and Leigh-Anne Pinnock (poor Jesy is holed up in bed with a nasty ear infection, n'aww), took to Instagram to share a snap of her latest ensemble - but even though we were enamoured with the snake effect boots and cutesy suede frock, it's her Rock n Rose headband that stole the show.

And we're so ready to jump on the bandwagon!

Que a whole hoard of boho-inspired bands boasting folk-y prints, gold thread and extra cushioning around the ears - y'know, to save you from a fashion induced migraine - flooding stores and online style hubs such as ASOS, New Look and of course, Claire's.

Style-savvy Jade, who proved that trends always come full-circle, wedged her stunning hair accessory into beachy waves and backcombed her locks at the crown for an extra dose of va va voom - sleek, straight locks would look too 90s - and not in a good way!

And whatever you do, avoid teaming yours with an up-do unless you want to earn yourself the nickname of Cinderella. Happy shopping!
