TOWIE's Jessica Wright owned the red carpet this week when she turned everyone's heads at The ITV Gala on Thursday (19 November) night.

LBD (in this case, a long black dress)? Check.

Amazing make-up? Goes without saying, this is Jess after all – one of our favourite make-up icons of the decade.

Hot hairdo? And then some...

Jess strikes again with a gorgeous updo at this year's ITV Gala, 19 November 2015

Jess joined Holly Willoughby, Caroline Flack, Olly Murs and all manner of ITV stars at this year's glam event which was held at the London Palladium.

And she nailed it – especially in the hair department!

Dressed in a stunning, floor-length black dress with scalloped sleeves and sheer detailing, Jess wouldn't have looked out of place on the Oscar's red carpet. Maybe next year, hey Jess?!

Jess looked stunning in a long, semi-sheer black gown, 19 November 2015

The reality star coupled her glamorous gown with flawless make-up by her go-to make-up artist Krystal Dawn.

Together, they went for pink glossy lips, contoured cheeks and a very cool berry eye using MAC Cosmetics Eyeshadow in Cranberry, £13, in case you were wondering...

But back to the hair.

Created by another of Jess' winning style team, top celebrity hairdresser Hannah Wieteska, this updo was the perfect combination of effortlessness and glamour. Not an easy combo to get right if you ask us.

Gorgeous hair... stunning dress... and beautiful make-up as always, 19 November 2015

From the front, Jess' hair had a soft, almost dishevelled look about it, but check it out from the back and it was obvious that a LOT of work had gone into it.

Our advice for creating a similar look at home? Er, get a pro to do it for you!

You could give it a go with some deft backcombing (specifically at the crown area) and then by loosely scooping pieces to the back of your head and pinning them into place. Take medium-sized sections at a time, starting from the sides and finishing up by rolling the back sections up and under.

But honestly, for the effort, time, arm-power and amount of pins you'll probably need, you're better off leaving it to your trusted hairdresser.
