And while their ensembles drew gasps (of the good kind, duh) it was actually Vampire Diaries star Nina Dobrev that stole the show with her sultry, brooding and seriously sexy beauty look.
Nina was every inch the siren with her raspberry stained lip and feathery lash combo which has earned a spot on our list of looks to try this autumn - and rightly so! Here's how you can nab the trend in six oh-so-simple steps. We're just too good to you!
Every winning beauty look starts with a glowy, iridescent base that doesn't look too mask-like. Dot the NARS Sheer Glow Foundation, £31 onto areas where your skin needs the most coverage such as red patches, shadows and blemishes and blend, blend, blend.
To make your features pop like Nina D, dust the B. Sunkissed Bronzing Powder, £4.49 on to the temples of your forehead, up into the hairline and down the sides of your nose to create a contoured look. If you're after razor sharp cheekbones, swipe a light dusting of the pressed powder into the hollows of your cheeks and buff outwards, towards the top of your ears.
Your base is halfway there but it's time to switch your focus onto those peepers. Blanket your whole eyelid with a heavy helping of the Bourjois Eye Shadow in Blanc Diaphane, £6.99 and use a small, flat brush to really pack on the pigment.
Dab a separate brush into the Bourjois Eye Shadow in Marron Glace, £6.99 and pat the shadow into the crease. Using a soft fluffy brush, blend from the outer corners, inwards in crescent shaped sweeping motions, taking care not to bring the colour up to your brow bone.
Get Nina's Disney Princess lashes with the Clinique Feathering Mascara in Black Onyx, £19. The bristles are super fine and hug each individual lash for a soft, wispy fanned out effect minus clumps. Make sure you coat the bottom lashes for extra drama.
Chuck out the tweezers and groom your arches with a swipe of Rimmel's Brow This Way Brow Gel, £3.99.
Add a flush of colour to the apples of your cheeks with the L'Oreal Le Blush in Peach, £6.99. It sits somewhere in between a rose pink and a snappy coral and will provide you with a natural, pinched look. It's best to apply blush after you've perfected your peepers to avoid swiping it off with your hands as you define each lash.
Give liners and glosses the elbow and pick up the MDM Flow Lipstick in Vamp, £18 - the packaging is so sassy, you'll feel guilty about banishing it to the bottom of your bag in between touch ups. Simply dab the bullet on to your lips for an edgy, stained effect (this look isn't meant to be seamless), then blot and dab again.
