Made in Chelsea's Rosie Fortescue has given us hair and make-up envy since she first popped up on our television screens. From her effortlessly tousled locks to her perfectly shiny bordeaux-tone talons, there isn't a look that we haven't tried to copy.

Que our excitement when we heard that the reality star has teamed up with Nailed London to put her stylish name to a 28-strong nail polish collection - and trust us when we say you'll want every single shade.

Ms. Fortescue has served up a cocktail of on-trend nudes, berry hues and pastel tones - with the odd smattering of sophisticated sparkle - and the oh-so-chic bottles emblazoned with her initials have already taken pride of place on our dresser. Our favourites include Sugar Lips and Stormy Violets, £7 each - the ultimate trans-seasonal colours.

At the much anticipated launch, we had a natter with the MIC babe herself to pick her brains on how to nail (sorry) all of her biggest beauty looks - and here's what we learnt.

Why did you decide to launch a nail polish range in particular?

It's something I've been obsessed with for so long and I have a vast collection at home. I'm obsessed with people's hands and I love wearing jewellery and I just think that it's an important part of every girl's beauty regime.

Stiletto nails are so last season. What hues from the collection would work on shorter nails?

When nails break it's so sad! But I think nudes would look great – especially Attention Seeker which is a nice grey shade. There's a warmer nude called Noodle Nude which is named after my dog and is such a cute shade. I also love Thigh High Club and I wear it on my toes. It's nice on pale skin and it's good for the transition from summer into winter.

If you were giving yourself a DIY mani at home, what would you do to prepare the nail?

I might get the cuticle clippers out. I always do my own nails but if I want someone to do it properly I'll pay a manicurist a visit! I'll file them, apply a basecoat, the desired colour and then a topcoat on top. Then I always apply a hand cream on top and lie in bed trying not to touch anything! I always have the pillow imprint on my nails when I wake up in the morning so I try and avoid that.

If we were to look inside your make-up bag, what products would we find?

I always carry the NARS Red Square Lip Pencil, £19 and I love Bourjois' Don't Pink of It Velvet Lipstick, £8.99 which I got in the airport in Paris. It's heaven and it lasts for ages.

I'm obsessed with Charlotte Tilbury's Pillow Talk Lipliner, £16 all over my lips if they aren't too dry. I love the Penelope Pink Lipstick, £23 and also Anita and Raquel. I have so many different pink-nudes and dark nudes!

When it comes to foundation I always wear the Dr LeWinn's Skin Perfect Foundation, £25 and I like the Facial Polishing Gel, £26 too. I'm always on feelunique.com and I like to browse for beauty buys plus I use Topshop brushes because they are so affordable.

On my lashes it's always benefit's They're Real! Mascara, £19.50. I wish I could have some make-up lessons though – Louise (Thompson) is so into her make-up and I wish I had more time to experiment. I'd rather do what I know, but I love changing up my lips.

Your hair is always perfectly tousled - what's your secret?

I get flat hair, at the top especially and it's naturally poker straight, with no movement. It's cool if you have a middle parting and you go for that look but I don't want to do that every single day. I use Babyliss tongs, I've dropped them and broken bits off of them and it's just a wand with a spike but they still work – they are amazing! I then just spray with loads of hair spray but that's the only prep I do.
