And while her plunging dress might have grabbed a LOT of attention from the photographers, it was her cute hair that WE loved here at Reveal HQ.
Rita looked stunning as she arrived at the VMAs which were held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday night (30 August) and were hosted by a suitably outrageous, Miley Cyrus.
The 'I Will Never Let You Down' singer was lucky enough to wear a custom-made, black Vera Wang dress for the awards which featured a full-on feathered skirt and a very revealing neckline!
But she totally carried it off, of course.
Rita's hair cleverly mimicked her strappy, criss-cross neckline, by being pulled back into two sleek ponytails, along with some very smart sectioning and side ponies, thanks to Rita's go-to hairdresser, Chris Appleton.
Chris never fails to amazing us with his hairdressing skills and has been the man behind many of Rita's much-coveted dos, including her 'origami' topknot and the sexiest blow-dry we have literally ever seen.
And he's done himself proud, yet again, with this bobby dazzler of a do, which he simply called: "ponytailz," on his Instagram feed.
Of course, Rita's look was created with some cleverly placed hair extensions (as well as a lot of deft handiwork) but you can easily create a similar, although less intricate look if your hair is long enough.
First, straighten your hair for a super-sleek look, then simply section off the top of your hair and slick it back into a ponytail at the crown of your head. Wrap a small piece around your band to conceal it.
Next, pull back the mid-section of your hair at around ear level and secure it into another ponytail at around the nape of your neck. Again, wrap a tiny section of hair around the base of your ponytail to cover the hairband.
Leave the bottom section of your hair loose and finish with hairspray to smooth down flyaway ends and add a shiny, finish.
OK, so it might not be quite as detailed as Rita's do, but it's a pretty fabulous look nevertheless...
