When Khloe Kardashian uploaded THIS stunning snap of her dishevelled, high ponytail to Instagram yesterday afternoon, we were itching to try out the trend for ourselves.

Que our excitement when we found out that KoKo's hairstylist Jen Atkin (who is responsible for Kylie Jenner's every-changing 'do FYI) had taken to Snapchat to give us an exact product breakdown - complete with a step by step guide - on how to nab the look.

And because we're both Kardashian and hair obsessed, we tracked down all of the beauty matches so you don't have to. We're almost too nice...

Step One:

For gravity-defying locks, Jen swears by the Davines Volu Mist, £14.35. Supercharged with elastic resins, a few spritzes into your roots promises to boost lacklustre lengths when teamed with a blast of warm air, and that's where Jen's next trick comes in...

Step Two:

The hair guru grabbed Balmain's Ceramic Brush £16.95 (a surefire favourite of Kim's, too) and used it to blowdry the hair upwards from the root.

Pick up the Babyliss PRO GT Ionic Dryer, £40 and flick the switch to the highest temperature for height that lasts.

Step Three:

Tip your head upside down to encourage even more volume and secure your locks into a super-high ponytail using one of the Scunci Hair Bungees, £3.99 to prevent your tresses from making an escape throughout the day! Simply wrap it around your ponytail until tight, and hook the metal clasp into your hair.

If you're worried about stray strands under the base of the pony, pop in a few hair pins like these gems from Hersheson's at ASOS.

Step Four:

Model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley introduced us to the Sarah Potempa Beachwaver back in January and Khloe can't get enough of this hairstyler either. Unfortunately, the amazing tool isn't available in the UK (boooo!) but the Remington Silk Curling Wand, £25.99 is a close match! Jen recommends styling sections horizontally to avoid barrel curls.

Step Five:

This look is all about texture and Jen can't imagine her hairstyling arsenal without the Sachajuan Ocean Mist, £18. Veil your ponytail with a few sprays and use your fingers to scrunch upwards. Take care not to rake your hands through the ponytail as you might loose volume.

Step Six:

If like Khloe, your dyed bronde locks take a lot of upkeep, look to the Colour WOW Root Concealer, £29 and use the genius hair brush to mask re-growth. Khloe loves the blonde tone but the clever little palette comes in six shades. It's like make-up for your barnet.

Step Seven:

Divide your ponytail into sections, lift gently and blanket each lock with Bumble and Bumble's award winning Cityswept Finish, £22 for a lived-in, bed head-esque result and you're good to go!
