Laura Whitmore shunned the obvious summer nail trends this week by going all rock-chick and wintry with her manicure.

Instead of opting for sunny brights and cute pastels, the gorgeous MTV presenter went for a black, studded manicure that we love...

Laura popped to London blow-dry and beauty bar, DryBy on Thursday (16 July) for a bit of a girlie treat along with her gorgeous little dog, Mick.

We're not sure if Mick also got some pampering of his own, but our spies tell us Laura indulged in a fabulous blow-dry as well as this sexy mani.

She then took to Instagram to show off her fabulous nails.

"Thank you to the amazing team at @drybylondon #nailart," she posted.

We love how Laura went for a shiny black mani, along with gold studs along the middle of her ring finger.

While you can't beat hot pink, shimmering gold and baby blue polishes in the summer months, sometimes all you want to do is rock it out with some sexy dark nails. And that's exactly what she did.

Copying her look is really quite simple. Just make sure you apply a clear base coat first (because black will stain, remember?), then paint two thin coats of black polish on your nails. We love L'Oréal Paris Colour Riche Nail Polish in Black Swan, £4.99,

Clean up any mistakes by dipping an old, thin eyeliner brush into nail polish remover, then working this around your nails. Then pop a glossy topcoat over the top of your polish.

While this is still drying, grab some tweezers and create a vertical line of gold studs along the centre of your ring fingernail. Try Hollywood Glitz Nail Art Kit in Paved In Gold, £3.99,

And that, dear Revealers, is what you'd call nailing it.
