Lupita Nyong'o treated us to some sparkly #ManiMonday nail inspiration this week when she showed off these bobby dazzlers on Instagram.

Don't get us wrong, we love our usual nail icons like Lily Allen, Rihanna and the Little Mix ladies – but it sure is nice to have fresh talons to gawp at too!

Great nails, gorgeous picture – we salute you Lupita, 6 July 2015

Lupita took to Instagram on Monday (6 July) after joining the likes of Olivia Palermo and Emily Blunt on the Dior FROW at the Rodin Museum during this week's Paris Fashion Week.

"Just out of an exquisite show. @dior #hautecouture #autumnwinter 2015-2016 #Paris #somethingtolookforwardto," she posted, followed by a close-up of her fabulous nails.

Wearing a square-neck cherry red Dior Couture (naturellement) dress, along with black heels and barely any accessories, it was all about the hair and make-up for Lupita as she cut a stunning figure in the Parisian sunshine.

It even looked like she wore sparkly, smoky eyes to match her sparkly dark mani – nice touch.

To copy Lupita's look (and why would't you?), first gently buff your nails, file them so they're all equal in length and push your cuticles back with an orange stick.

Next, black can be a monster to remove, so apply a base coat to protect your nails from staining, then wait for this to dry before painting on two thin coats of Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy Nail Enamel in Black Jack, £6.99,

While your second coat is still drying, sprinkle glitter (either silver or gold will work perfectly) over the base of each nail. Try to get more glitter at the base and less on your nails for a sexier, cool look like Lupita's – placing a piece of paper over the tips of your nails will help if you're struggling.

Most art shops sell pretty inexpensive glitter, or you could try Stargazer Glitter Shaker, £3,

Finish with a glossy topcoat like Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat, £9, and you've nailed it.

The end.
