Maria Fowler is make-up-mad – as we all know from her fabulous Instagram posts. And this week she ensured her nails were just as on point as the rest of her beauty regime with this sexy manicure...

The former TOWIE star posted her new 'coffin' nails on Friday (8 May) after having them created by Milly Jones.

Nice nails Maria – they're almost as white as your sparkling teeth! 8 May 2015

Maria is one of many celebrities upping their mani game this month as we hit the festival season and nails get far more creative than they are for the rest of the year.

Last week we were all over Ke$ha's crazy, psychedelic manicure, while Alana Haim totally nailed her festival-chic mani with blue and gold tips for Coachella.

Maria has kept it simple when it comes to her colour choice, opting for a crisp, matte white polish. But the long, squared-off shape is definitely a new one for the reality star.

Aptly named 'coffin nails,' we have to admit, we're not keen on the name, but it does describe the shape pretty well...

Last week Maria's nails were a more natural, oval shape and painted a muted grey, 20 April 2015

To copy Maria's lengthy look, unless you have unfathomably long talons, you'll need to fake them, so pop to your nearest reputable manicurist and ask them about acrylic nails.

If, however, you're happy with your natural shape, but simply fancy going whiter-than-white for the weekend, paint your nails with 2-3 coats of Essie Nail Polish in Blanc, £7.99,

When you've created a totally even base of white, apply a glossy topcoat like Max Factor Glossfinity Nail Polish Top Coat, £5.99,

Then, while your topcoat is drying, grab a pair of tweezers and some nail gems (try Diamante Crafts Rhinestone Body and Nail Gems, £1.75 for 240,

Use your tweezers to press a gem into the topcoat, at the base of each nail.

Add your favourite LBD, a glass of champers and you're sorted.
