The Haim girls have been on our style radar for a while now – and this week, Alana, guitarist and youngest sister, made sure she was ready to nail the festival season with a gorgeous set of Coachella-ready nails!

Alana had her short, cool nails painted baby blue for this weekend's Californian music festival. And with gold detailing that screams festival glamour, we reckon it's a look the rest of us might want to bear in mind for this summer's more close-to-home festies...

We love the Haim girls and can't wait to rock the festivals with this cute, blue and gold mani, 8 April 2015

"Special place in my heart for @haimtheband @babyhaim @danielle_haim!!" posted LA-based nail artist, Stephanie Stone on Wednesday (8 April).

"Thanks for letting me and @brittninails get you coachella ready today," she added. 'I had so much funnn!"

Stephanie might well be one of our favourite celebrity nail gurus at the moment, as she was the lady behind Whitney Port's fabulous half-moon mani last week.

She's also been responsible for creating many gorgeous A-list manicures, including Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato, to name just a few.

And this week it seems it was the turn of the Haim girls, who shot to fame at the end of 2013 for their album 'Days Are Gone.'

We weren't initially sure which of the sisters' nails we were looking at, but with all the Instagram comments aimed at Alana (aka baby Haim!), we could only presume these cute, short nails were hers!

To copy the Haim festival mani, follow these easy tips below...

1. Gently file your nails into a nice, neat shape as this look works much better on short nails – plus long talons will pick up festival dirt anyway!

2. Apply a base coast like Bourjois So Perfect Correcting Base Coat, £5.99,, to protect your nails, then paint them baby blue with two thin coats of Miss Sporty Clubbing Colours Nail Polish in Blue Wink, £1.99,

3. When your nails are dry, grab a gold nail art pen like the Models Own Artstix Nail Art Pen in Gold, £5.99,, and draw a vertical line up the centre of each nail.

4. Finish with a glossy top coat then, while this is drying, gently press a gold gemstone at the base of each nail, using tweezers to help guide them precisely where you want them.
