Lucy Watson took a break from her normal make-up look this week when she rocked purple, colour-block eyes on Tuesday (17 March).

And we have to say, the Made in Chelsea star is one clever cookie because purple is one of the hottest shades for spring. Smarty pants!

Lucy Watson's eyes look very pretty in purple, 17 March 2015

Stylish Lucy doesn't often go down the colourful make-up route, preferring a more earthy-toned palette above rainbow-bright eyes and strong, full-on lips.

But we think she looks pretty fabulous wearing one of this season's must-wear eye colours.

"Shooting today #secretproject," Lucy Instagrammed along with the close-up picture of her behind-the-scenes make-up, above.

And while some of her fans were unnecessarily scathing about her look, we totally disagree and reckon she looks pretty darn spot-on.

Purple is one of the most wearable colours when it comes to your eyes, because it has the perfect balance of both warm and cool tones to make every single eye colour pop.

She also likes very natural-looking make-up, 21 January 2015

The MIC lady wears her purple shadow paler towards the inner corners of her eyes, while building to a stronger shade towards the outer corners of her eyelids.

This is a great trick for making your eyes appear wider.

Her make-up artist has also swept a line of colour under her bottom lashes to complete the look and – shock, horror – has left her lashes very natural-looking, if not even completely void of mascara!

Lucy's skin and lips are also pretty much colour-free, making her eyes take all the attention.

Very nice.
