We've always said that beautifying yourself in a moving vehicle is a recipe for disaster, and now our Ashley has proved it!
"They say every day is a school day," the former Made in Chelsea star posted on Tuesday (10 February), along with this Instagram snap above.
"Today I learnt to never do my lipstick whilst on a moving train #troutpout," she added.
While at first we thought Ashley's pout looked rather perfectly applied, on closer inspection you can see she definitely over-egged the pudding when trying to subtly plump up her lips by taking her colour too far around the outside of her lips, rather than keeping it to her natural lipline.
I mean, it's not the worst pout we've ever seen, but celebrity make-up artist Daniel Sandler summed it up on Ashley's Instagram feed with one word...
"Funny!" he posted.
Ashley took a make-up course with celebrity make-up artist Louise Constad, so she really should have known better than to attempt such a strong, defined lip while in a shaky train carriage. Oops! We've all done it though, right?!
A bit of lipgloss or a quick dab of colour stain would've probably worked out fine, but this kind of full-on pout? Never.
We love how Ashley fessed up to her mistake, however, and to be fair, her lipstick still looks a helluva lot better than some celebrities we don't like to name and shame...
If you fancy attempting a defined lip that's more like Ashley's red carpet picture (above), ditch the on-the-go approach and make sure you're always on firm ground, with good lighting and a steady hand!
And as make-up guru Daniel recommends:
"My rule of thumb is to apply pencil after rather than before your lipstick application, so that you get a softer, more flattering finish."
