The Jupiter Ascending star tested out the look without committing to the chop by asking her hairdresser, Mara Roszak, to create a faux bob.
Yesterday (5 February) Mara showed off the finished look in an Instagram snap, adding the caption: "Check out this pretty lady and her #fauxbob on @teamcoco tonight."
Doesn't she look AMAZING?!
If you fancy trying this 'do too, the good news is it's super-easy to recreate. Here's how:
1. Starting with freshly-washed tresses, create a centre parting and section your hair, then use a wide-barrel curling tong (like Yogi Fat Barrel Hair Styling Wand, £36.50) to create soft waves. Curl just the mid-lengths to ends of your mane, leaving the roots smooth and straight.
2. Next, gather your hair into a low ponytail at the nape of the neck, but leave a few strands loose at the front to help frame your face. Secure your pony with a hair elastic. If you have short hair, place the elastic near the ends of your locks, and if you have long hair, tie it around halfway down your pony.
3. Take the end of your ponytail and begin to roll it under and upwards to create a bob-like shape. It doesn't need to be super-neat as we're after an effortless, textured look. Keep your faux bob in place by securing with bobby pins (you'll need quite a few!).
4. Finally, spritz your bonce with hairspray (try L'Oréal Paris Elnett Satin Hairspray, £6.60) for added hold before finishing with a mist of shine spray (we love TIGI Bed Head Headrush Shine Spray, £15.25). And make like Mila by amping up the va-va-voom with matte red lippy - MAC Lipstick in Ruby Woo, £15.50, is a celeb favourite.
