Kate Hudson has revealed the extensive collection of beauty products she used while getting ready for the 72nd annual Golden Globes.

We've always wanted a sneak peek at an A-lister's skincare routine, and Kate has granted our wish by posting a snap of all the lotions and potions she used before Sunday's (11 January) award ceremony.

Captioning her product-loaded snap, the actress wrote: "Shower time Beauty products of choice #GoldenGlobes2015."

First up, to help brighten and de-puff her peepers Kate used the rather pricey Juice Beauty Stem Cellular Eye Treatment, $45 (for a cheaper option, we're fans of Avène Soothing Eye Contour Cream, £9.50).

To freshen and cleanse her face, Kate turned to Eve Lom Cleanser, £40 - an award-winning balm cleanser boasting a blend of plant oils - before following up with Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream, £30 - an anti-ageing moisturiser aiming to improve the appearance of skin while adding a hefty dose of hydration.

For her lips it looks like she used the super-luxe By Terry Baume De Rose lip balm, which retails at a whopping £38 (so we probably won't be investing in it any time soon!).

But she did also use a budget buy, lathering up with Dr Bronner's Lavender Liquid Soap, £5.99. This multi-tasking organic product can be used to clean your body, your vegetables, your kitchen and bathroom... and even your pets!

And to keep her trademark golden blonde locks in tiptop shape, it seems Kate can't get enough of the Kérastase range. The starlet first used the Kérastase Bain Nutri-Thermique Shampoo, £13.60, a conditioning shampoo that helps to revive dry and sensitised hair.

She then applied Kérastase Creme Chronologiste, which costs an eye-watering $149... gulp! It's a pretty intense restorative treatment - the little bottle contains pearls loaded with vitamins. You mix these pearls with the big tub of cream, which includes ingredients to help nourish your mane, before applying the resulting formula to towel-dried hair.

Most of Kate's products are pretty pricey, but that's hardly surprising considering her huge Hollywood paychecks. But there are plenty of high street buys that are just as fab!

We're fans of Nivea Soft Moisturising Cream, £2.49, Vo5 Miracle Concentrate Elixir with Argan Oil, £5.19, Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish, £15.50, and Vaseline Rosy Lip Therapy, £2.18.
