The actress and filmmaker had previously been enjoying a brief stint away from her classic brunette bob, but as the awards season approaches, Lena has made a welcome return to the dark side – yay!
Lena, who plays Hannah Horvath in the hit TV comedy, ditched her dark hair back in May last year when she showcased a new bleach blonde chop at the 66th Primetime Emmy Awards at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.
Then, just five months later, the blonde was replaced by a rather interesting green hue which Lena clearly rather liked as she kept it for the majority of October while touring the globe for her book, 'Not That Kind of Girl'.
Eat your heart out Rita Ora, Jessie J et al!
We have to admit, however, we much prefer the shiny brown hair Lena revealed on the red carpet on Monday (5 January) when she joined her co-stars Zosia Mamet, Jemima Kirke and Allison Williams for the season four premiere of Girls in New York City.
Don't get us wrong, we love a celeb who's not afraid to experiment with a bit of hair colour, but we sure are chuffed that Lena's gone back to her dark, chocolate locks which suits her skin tones much better and gives her a much more sophisticated edge.
The blonde, we liked. But the green? Not so much.
How about you?
Girls returns to our screens on Monday 12 January at 10pm on Sky Atlantic – yay!
