Working her fabulous new bob into tousled waves and wearing a cropped denim Bongo top and white, wide-legged Badgley Mischka trousers, it would have been easy to have missed Vanessa's amazing nails.
But as ever, our beady eyes didn't let us (or you!) down.
Vanessa joined stars like Bella Thorne, Ashley Tisdale and Audrina Patridge at the 16th Annual Young Hollywood Awards, which were held at The Wiltern Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday (27 July) and hosted by TV presenter, Kelly Osbourne.
And the Spring Breakers actress totally proved her style worth by winning the Trendsetter Award at the glittering event.
The bad news for us Brit chicks is that Vanessa's nails came courtesy of the Laqué Nail Bar and Beauty Lounge in North Hollywood – not the simplest place for us to get to!
The good news, however, is they're pretty simple to copy at home...
1. First, if you want to copy Vanessa's long, squared off talons, you'll need to get falsies. But if you prefer a more natural shape, file your nails so they're all the same size.
2. Next, brush on a base coat like Sally Hansen Salon Manicure Base Coat, £9.95, boots.com to protect your nails, then apply two, thin coats of nude polish.
We love Orly Nail Polish in Sheer Nude, £5, boots.com.
3. When your colour is bone dry, apply some Bourjois So Matt Top Coat, £5.99, boots.com to take down the shine and create a perfectly matte finish.
4. Then finally, while your top coat is drying, carefully press a few jewels onto a couple of random nails. Try Andrea Fulerton Nail Boutique Crystal Nail Jewels, £7.99, superdrug.com.
