Sharon Osbourne, like many of us, adores Kate Middleton. But the royal's dark eye make-up? Not so much.

Outspoken Mrs O has suggested the Duchess of Cambridge should stop wearing heavy black eyeliner as she's so beautiful she doesn't need it.

Speaking with ITV's Lorraine, Sharon, 61, said: "I think Kate needs to stop wearing the black eyeliner. I don't like black eyeliner. I think it's way too hard. She is so stunning and she needs to open her eyes out, not close them!"

After Sharon's daughter Kelly, 29, joked that Mrs O will get backlash for daring to criticise Kate, the former X Factor judge insisted: "I'm not saying a bad word!"

Sharon explained: "I think she is an amazing young woman. She is gorgeous! But the black eyeliner is so dated and it's just too hard."

Kate is known for doing her own make-up ahead of public appearances, perhaps most famously for her wedding to Prince William in 2011.

After a series of private lessons with make-up artist Arabella Preston, the royal opted to do her own face for her big day. Brave considering how many millions watched the nuptials live!

Perhaps Sharon should send Kate some products from her newly-launched MAC make-up line? The rock matriarch was in London with Kelly on Monday (9 June) to launch their collection at Selfridges.
