Louise Thompson is a smart girl when it comes to looking after her skin – she uses a fab, multi-purpose cream on both her face and body that's a total bargain at less than 3 quid!

Yes, the Made in Chelsea star might not be short of a bob or two, but she still loves a beauty bargain when she sees one.

Louise has revealed that one of her favourite beauty must-haves is Care Aqueous Emollient Cream, £2.99, available from independent pharmacies nationwide.

"I use Care Aqueous Emollient Cream everywhere," Louise explains. "On my face, on my body as a moisturiser, as a body wash and to remove make-up."

"It's the perfect multi-purpose cream to have in your life!" she adds.

OK, so it might not look particularly pretty on your dressing table, but hey, that's what those countless bottles of perfume are for, right?

When it comes to taking care of your skin, function always comes above form in our eyes.

And Louise is clearly a girl after our own heart.

Aqueous creams contain water that not only moisturise your skin and help relieve dry patches, but can be used to cleanse your skin and remove make-up too.

They generally contain no colour or fragrance either, so are great if you're of the sensitive persuasion.

In fact, we bet if you were to open up many-a-celebrity's secret beauty stash, there'd be a pot of aqueous cream hiding in there somewhere!

You could also try Boots Aqueous Cream, £4.09, boots.com and Superdrug Aqueous Cream, £2.99, superdrug.com as great alternatives.
