Emma Stone wore her hair with a fabulous plaited fringe during a photocall for her new movie, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 in Rome on Monday (14 April).

And with Diane Kruger also rocking some cute braids last week, it seems plaits might be the hairstyle to copy this summer...

Emma Stone, The Amazing Spider-Man 2: The Power of Electro - Photocall in Rome, 14 April 2014

Emma has been a right little Eurpoean jet-setter during the last few weeks, taking in London, Paris and Rome in a matter of days to promote the new Spidey film in which she stars with boyfriend, Andrew Garfield.

And she's certainly been jet-setting with plenty of style!

We loved the stunning bright yellow dress and berry lips combo she wore to the London premiere last Wednesday (9 April) and this week, she may have toned down her outfit choice in a ladylike Dolce & Gabbana lace number, but she still caught our attention with that fab hairdo.

Sophisticated in lace, Emma chose a Dolce & Gabbana two-piece for a photocall in Rome, 14 April 2014

And in London last week, she wowed in a yellow, floor-length Versace gown, 11 April 2014

So what's going on with those locks of hers?

Well, not only does it look like she's had her hair chopped into a long, shoulder-length bob, but Emma has also swept it over into a side-parting, then created a reverse French plait along her fringe area.

Nice huh?

Here's how to copy Emma's cute look...

1. First, add mousse to towel-dried hair, then rough-dry it all over using your fingers to help create plenty of movement.

2. Next, part your hair over to your favourite side and reverse French plait the biggest side, working along your hairline and down to your ear. Not sure how to reverse French braid? Then follow our tips here...

3. Clip the end of your plait at about ear level then work the rest of your layers into soft, dishevelled waves using a large barrelled tong. And remember to work on fairly big sections of hair so it doesn't end up looking too curly or 'done'.

4. Finish with a light spritz of hairspray and you've cracked it.
