Jessie J is clearly in a pastel mood at the moment as she showed off a fabulous, ice cream coloured manicure on Instagram this week (31 March).

It's been a while since we were treated to a classic Jessie mani, but the 'Domino' singer is most definitely back with this gem...

We were worried we were soon going to have to take away Jessie's nail crown as the former The Voice judge has given us very few creations to ogle over these last few months.

She showed off a small glimpse of some metallic bronze nails on the morning of her 26th birthday last Thursday (27 March) but other than that, there's been barely a whiff of any nail art coming from the Jessie J camp.

So, thank the nail gods she's back because as much as we love the likes of Lily Allen and Ashley James' fabulous manicures, you can't beat Jessie's long, painted talons.

Jessie has long been a fan (and friend) of celebrity nail guru and UK Ambassador for Revlon, Jenny Longworth, so it's no surprise we have Jenny to thank for these cute pastel tips.

To copy Jessie's look, start with a clear gloss over your nails, then grab 5 different pastel nail polishes.

We love the new Barry M Silk Nail Effects Paints, £3.99, barrym.com or try Revlon Colorstay Nail Enamels, £7.99 each, boots.com.

Just remember to make sure your pastels are all the same texture, so if you're going matte, ensure they're ALL matte.

Dip a thin eyeliner brush in one of your polishes, draw a half moon shape at the tip of one nail and fill in the tip.

Then use the same colour on a different nail on your opposite hand – we prefer not to do the same finger as being random is much cooler!

Repeat all over until you have five pastels on one hand and the same five on the other, but in a different order.

Then, finish with a layer of glossy topcoat and you're done...
