Former TOWIE star Lauren Goodger's hair reached new heights yesterday as she became the latest celebrity to work her hair into a super-high, '90s ponytail.

Lauren Instagrammed a couple of snaps while enjoying a night out in London last night (10 February) and, gorgeous jacket aside (courtesy of Ian Snow Clothing, FYI), we couldn't take our eyes of her updo...

The Only Way is Essex starlet opted for a ponytail piled high on the top of her head – a trend we're seriously loving for 2014.

This is the kind of updo that could end up looking harsh or a bit schoolgirl-ish, but by not scraping it up too tightly and have some layers fall over to one side, Lauren's made it totally work.

And she's not the only one to rock this look, either...

Yes, we know the likes of Kim Kardashian and Jennifer Lopez often wear their hair in ponytails high at the crown of their heads, but this is taking up a notch and piling right on top, almost where you would wear a high topknot.

Model, Poppy Delevingne rocked a similar look last week at the Mercedes-Benz amfAR Gala in New York and you simply MUST remember X-Factor judge Nicole Scherzinger working a super-high side pony on the show at the end of last year...

We reckon this new trend is about to take over the red carpet really soon, so it's time to start giving one a go – like now.

Simply tip your head upside down and pull your hair up to the top of your head – literally as high as you can possibly go!

Then tie it with a band, flip your head back over and peruse your work. If you want to soften the look, simply use the pads of your fingers to ruffle up the scraped back section of your hair.

You can also backcomb your ponytail a little bit to add volume, and for a professional finish like these lovely ladies, take a small strand of hair from your ponytail, wrap it round the band to cover it, then fix the ends underneath with a couple of Kirby grips.
