And when three of our favourite Brit girls wear almost identical make-up at the same event, that's a trend we're interested in...
Nude lips have been a big trend with A-listers on both sides of the pond in the last few years, but we're far more used to seeing super-matte looks or rich, creamy finishes a la Kim Kardashian.
But it was all about the gloss at last night's 2014 Brit Nominations in association with MasterCard, which were held at the ITV studios in central London.
Pixie Lott, who performed her new single 'Nasty' at the event, led the way with a pale, barely-there gloss, coupled with white eyeliner, full-on false lashes and thick, bouncy Brigitte Bardot-esque hair.
Meanwhile, Ellie Goulding choose a slightly darker, caramel-toned lipgloss, again with those all-important false lashes and fresh-faced skin.
Ellie is up for three Brits at the ceremony which takes place on 19 February at London's O2 Arena. (For the full nominations list scroll down to the bottom...)
Laura Whitmore also attended last night's event and chose a deeper lipgloss, going for a pinky-brown shade to complement her post 'I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here Now!' glow.
We have to admit, we love a glossy, nude lip in the Reveal office. Not only is it the simplest make-up to apply (no lip liner or mirror is really required!), but it also makes your lips look fuller and literally works with any outfit and every skin tone.
What's not to love?
If you fancy trying the look out, our favourite glosses include Collection Lock N Hold Lipgloss in Rock Steady, £2.99, collectioncosmetics.co.uk which is perfect for pale complexions.
We also love Clinique Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm in Mega Melon, £17, boots.com which is great for darker skin tones.
L'Oréal Paris Glam Shine 6HR Lip Gloss in Forever Nude, £8.69, boots.com is a real goodie for its amazing staying power.
And if you have a favourite lippy you want to add a bit of shine to, simply apply a smidge of Vaseline Cocoa Butter Lip Therapy, £1.99, superdrug.com on top.
Yes it really is THAT simple.
ps: All three ladies wore their nude, glossy lips with monochrome outfits which seemed to be another huge trend on the night. Noted.
