Kelly's wild updo was part of her on-screen outfit for E! panel show Fashion Police in which she stars with Joan Rivers, George Kotsiopoulos and Giuliana Rancic...
"Look how sick my hair looks for this weeks #fashionpolice!!!" Kelly posted to her Twitter and Instagram fans, along with a stream of pictures of her intricately plaited do which was studded with metal spikes.
And in one picture she appeared to be sticking some of those cheeky spikes in the head of Brazilian model and designer, Camilla Alves.
Well, Camilla does have it all – including a husband in the shape of Matthew McConaughey!
"@Iamcamilaalves Is so beautiful I wanted to head butt her with my spikes! So I did!"
Never one to be boring when it comes to style, Kelly is known for her wild and wonderful hairstyles and has tried all manner of colours and lengths.
But her lavender do has already lasted over 3 years and is set to stay if her bosses at E! have anything to do with it...
"I'm contracted to this hair colour," Kelly admitted at a recent fashion and beauty conference. "I can't change it for two years. I wanted to go green, but was told I wouldn't be able to work anymore."
So what's a girl to do when she's not allowed to change her hair colour for another few years? Play around with some crazy updos, of course!
Parted in the middle and braided down each side, Kelly's latest look is certainly a head turner and she's clearly used extra, clip-in extensions to create a twirled plait effect at the nape of her neck.
It also looks like she had to sort out a bit of an emergency root situation down her parting – possibly with wash-out, coloured hairspray or hair chalk like Fudge Urban Colour Hair Chalk in Pumped-up Purple, £5.99, superdrug.com.
But it's those fabulous studs we bet you're most interested in, right?
Well, for a similar look, try buying a few pairs of these imixlot Punk Rock Studded Hair Clips, £3.99, amazon.co.uk and work them into your updo.
Just try not to head butt anyone while you're wearing them, please!
