Pregnant Katie made sure all eyes were on her as she rocked a glitzy rainbow frock complete with matching over-the-knee socks and sparkling heels, not to mention a very bright head of hair!
But despite the fact she always seems so confident with her looks, the starlet has admitted she hasn't always been too chuffed with her ever-changing hairdos.
Speaking exclusively to Reveal at the event, Katie said: "When I want to go blonde I always get the wrong blonde, I've never had one I like. Then when I look at pictures of myself, I like my hair dark, but when I had it dark last time I was pregnant, I didn't like it. I just don't know what I like at the moment.
"There's lots of times I've been unhappy with my colour, and that's why my hair got wrecked, because I wanted to change it all the time and it broke off.
"Going from black to blonde in America was the worst, it burnt off my hair big time. I ended up putting extensions in but my hair on top was so short. That's why I've put my name to Colour B4, £9.99. It strips your hair back without damaging it, and then you can go any colour you like."
Her next hair move? A swish blonde 'do, à la Amanda Holden!
"I'm loving Amanda's hair at the moment, love it," Katie gushed. "We've got the same hairdresser too so that's good!"
Yesterday was Katie's first public appearance since news broke that her husband Kieran had been sleeping with her close friend Jane Pountney.
But the headstrong starlet wasn't going to let her personal life affect her work. Talking about the affair, Katie said: "It's really bad. But I'm dealing with it in my own way and I'm not going to let it affect today.
"Whatever situation you're in, it's always good to talk about it, have friends around you and not hide away."
And now it's onwards and upwards for Katie, who even has dreams of opening her very own beauty salon!
"I've been doing a HD Make-up course, I've got two more days left. So I'm loving their make-up at the moment just because I know how to use it! Normally if I go to the shops and buy a foundation, it never matches my skin exactly, but now I know how to mix all the colours. I'm really into it.
"I trained in HD Brows two years ago and I also did an update course last year. I'm trained to put on eyelash extensions, I've done a nail course too and I want to learn semi-permanent make-up next. Eventually I'd like to open my own salon."
"I used to use MAC make-up for years but right now I'm using HD. They do a nice matte foundation [HD Fluid Foundation, £32]," she continued. "To take my make-up off, I use MAC Face Wipes, £19.50, and Chanel Precision Eye Make-up Remover, £22.
"I'm obsessed with taking baths too and I always use oils, scrubs and face masks. I've got different products all around my bath."
And it seems Katie's love for make-up has rubbed off on her family too, with her daughter Princess picking up the tricks of the trade!
"She is so good at doing make-up!" laughed Katie. "She just watches me, she's seen me having my make-up done through the years so she's really good at it.
"She drives me mad though because she ruins my make-up brushes, using different ones with different colours and products. I'm always like, 'Princess, use your own!' I give her loads of make-up but she still wants to use what's in my bag!"
But despite having a love for make-up, Katie prefers to ditch the slap when she's off-duty and let her natural beauty shine through.
"I prefer myself with no make-up," she said. "Everyone always says I look better without make-up. But it's hard not to wear it on a press call with all the lights and flashes, it just wouldn't look right. You'd have a complete blank canvas."
And it's not just her beauty looks that grab headlines - Katie's also known for her eye-catching wardrobe, rocking everything from itsy-bitsy hotpants to full-on princess dresses.
She even wore a skin-tight pink catsuit adorned with silver sparkles when she appeared on the Eurovision Song Contest while pregnant back in 2005.
"I do look at old outfits and think, 'Oh my God,'" Katie admitted. "But at the time I felt good about it, it felt right. It makes me laugh when people get old pictures of me from 15 years ago and compare them to me now, saying, 'Look how different she looks!' You're always going to look different.
"I don't really regret anything, except doing Eurovision. I've always said that. It wasn't fun at the time either!"
