Kim Kardashian gave us a mini beauty lesson by posting a selfie of herself halfway through a make-up session!

Taking to Instagram this weekend (29 March), the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star puckered up for a quick snap with her make-up artist Joyce Bonelli.

Alongside her picture, Kim wrote: "Another glam day with @joycebonelli do I look? LOL"

Kim is famous for her unbelievably chiselled cheekbones, and she's not shy of admitting her look is down to clever contouring.

And we can't say we blame her, it's a great way of faking supermodel cheekbones and cheating a more structured face - plus it's pretty easy too!

In her snap, Joyce shaded all the way along the hollows of Kim's cheek, starting at the top of her ear and running towards the side of her mouth.

Now you can leave things there, but Joyce really amped up the effect by adding a bright white powder below Kim's eyes and above her jawline (before blending it all in later, obvs!)

So, how can you get Kim's look?

First, find the right contour powder for your skintone, making sure it's matte and not too orange-based. Try Sleek Face Contour Kit, £6.49, which comes in three shades and also includes a shimmery highlighter.

Or if you fancy a splurge, check out the new NARS Contour Blush, £30 (on counters from 1 April). This duo features more of a matte highlighter, which is great if you want to cheat subtle definition and a natural, 'I woke up like this' look.

Suck in your cheeks and, using a tapered fluffy brush, apply your contour shade to the hollows that appear. If you fancy going the whole hog then add a bit along your jawline, on either side of your nose and in the crease of your eyelids too.

Next, take the highlight shade and run along the very top of your cheekbones. To really channel Kim K, apply a bit down the bridge of your nose, on your brow bone and Cupid's bow, and a touch at the inner corners of your eyes.

Finally, tie in the whole look by lightly sweeping your contour powder across your temples, before finishing with a soft pop of rosy blush on the apples of your cheeks.
